Are you fed up of those first painful steps out of bed or after you have been sat down for a while? Is it painful to run or walk?

Our tried and tested orthotic insoles have been proven to help those suffering from heel pain and/or plantar fasciitis. As well as providing relief and comfort, they are designed to correctly align your feet to help rectify the cause of the problem.

PlantarFix Orthotic Min Support – Firm

This insole is made from a firm but comfortable EVA material with a soft foam top. It assists in supporting the arches of the feet, so stopping the feet from rolling inwards as you walk or run. This takes the strain away from the plantar fascia rectifying the cause of the problem.

As this type of orthotic insole provides minimum plantar fasciitis support, it is especially effective for those with low arches. Also, if you have tried insoles in the past and have found them difficult to wear, these insoles are a gentler introduction to help your feet adapt to wearing them. If you aren’t sure which orthotics for plantar fasciitis are right for you, visit our help page here.

PlantarFix Orthotic Minimum Support Firm – Benefits

  • Three quarter insole – easier to put in and get out of shoes
  • Best for people with a low arch but also suitable for people wearing insoles for the first time
  • Easy to fit – just trim to size.
  • Raised heel support cushion for extra shock absorption where it can hurt most
  • Extra heel and forefoot cushioning for increased comfort

What are orthotics and how do they work?

If you are suffering from heel pain or have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, then orthotics can help. Orthotic insoles for plantar fasciitis support are placed inside the shoes and worn throughout the day. They act not only as shock absorbers to relieve the heel pain, they also structurally support the foot, thus assisting in rectifying the cause.

What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is extremely common, affecting approximately 1 in 10 of the population. The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot, from the heel bone to the toes. When this ligament or tissue becomes inflamed it causes heel pain - plantar fasciitis.

 before and after plantar fasciitis

Misalignment of your feet can cause this problem as can overuse – it is very common among runners and athletes.

What are the symptoms of plantar fasciitis?

Although it varies between individuals, the majority of sufferers describe it as a sharp intense pain in the heel. Normally, symptoms tend to be worse first thing in the morning and after long periods of sitting or standing.
