Have you had enough of those first painful steps out of bed? And after you have been sat down? Are your feet painful during or after exercise?

Our scientifically designed orthotic insoles have been proven to help those suffering from heel pain and plantar fasciitis. They help to rectify the cause of the problem by helping to align your feet which will provide relief and comfort.

PlantarFix Orthotic Med Support – Firm

The PlantarFix Orthotic Medium Support is a three quarter orthotic insole made from a firm, but comfortable EVA material. The three quarter length makes it easier to put into your shoes but is just as effective as a full length orthotic insole. It assists in supporting fully the arches of the feet, so stopping the feet from rolling inwards as you walk or run. This takes the strain away from the plantar fascia and getting rid of that heel pain. As this type of orthotic insole provides maximum support, it is especially effective for those with normal arches. If you aren’t sure which orthotic insoles are right for you, visit our help page here.

What are orthotics and how do they work?

If you are suffering from heel pain or have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, then orthotic insoles can help. They are placed inside the shoes and worn throughout the day. They act not only as shock absorbers to relieve the heel pain, but also structurally support your feet which rectifies the cause of the problem.

What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is extremely common, affecting about 10% of the population. The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot, from the heel bone to the toes. When this ligament or tissue becomes inflamed it causes heel pain - plantar fasciitis.

Misalignment of your feet can cause this problem as can overuse – it is very common among runners and athletes.

Who does plantar fasciitis affect?

In general, it is those who have to spend long periods of time on their feet, athletes or those who are overweight who tend to be prone to plantar fasciitis. But for some unlucky people, there is no identifiable reason as to why they suffer from heel pain or plantar fasciitis.

What are the symptoms of plantar fasciitis?

Although it varies between individuals, the majority of sufferers describe it as a sharp stabbing pain in the heel. Generally, symptoms tend to be worse first thing in the morning and after long periods of sitting or standing.
